My sister wants me to bring some fresh flour tortillas for Christmas dinner. She doesn't live here anymore and is wanting some. I usually buy the ones made fresh daily from HEB and I think they are great, but, for some reason, she doesn't want those.

So I need suggestions on where to get the best flour tortillas in San Antonio, but not the ones from HEB. Please help!

Alamo Cafe has good flour tortillas, made right in the restaurant. I don't know if they sell them a la carte.

Central Market makes their own. Their tortillas are very thin...

Alamo Cafe is good...but if you're close to the Southside, I'd recommend Nichas Comida on Roosevelt. Damn good torts!

One more vote cast for Alamo Cafe. You can grab a pint of salsa (comes with the chips, too) and a couple dozen of those fluffy warm lovelies.... mmm mmm!
