"I used to be a cop."

"Oh, yeah?"

"Yeah. I quit though."

"Oh, really? Why?"

"I made too many enemies."

"Oh."

I love my squirrel, but the dog's don't.. I mostly like him because he drives the dogs absolutely bonkers and he knows exactly what he's doing. They'll "hunt" him all over the backyard, but will never in a million years catch him. Unless he makes one wrong move.. if he ever slips off the fence or falls from the tree, he's a definitely dead squirrel. I've also noticed they really suck at crossing streets. That's by far the most common dead animal I see on the street when I'm running.

We've got the same situation in our back yard with a squirrel and our two Westies (a.k.a. "The Idiots"); but I think if the squirrel ever dorked up enough to end up on the ground with them, they'd probably go nuts trying to figure out what to do! I doubt they'd do the squirrel any harm, they're all bark and no bite; but he and his friends are pretty safe back there...

Cheers! M2

That's true. Mine would probably run inside with the squirrel chasing them and I don't even want to imagine what would happen after that. Hopefully my squirrel never ends up in that situation.
I was watching AFV the other day and they had a few odd situations like that. One was a rat chasing a big dog and a cat around a room and the really funny one was a cat scaring the crap out of a full size black bear. The bear was looking in the window and the cat pounced at the inside of the window and the bear took off running at full speed.

One of The Idiots (our Westies) had a small wound on his hind quarters, I initially thought the squirrel might have bit him in the ass! Turns out it was just a bad scratch, but the wife took him to the vet to be sure it wasn't something more serious (well, more serious than a $150 vet bill for a scratch!).
