I HAVE to respond to this thread. If I were you I would look at the Pearl Brewery Condos. I'm not sure when they are opening, but I'd move there in a second if I could. I agree that the commute would be totally doable, especially against traffic. I would not...absolutely not....live near Sea World if it was me...nothing urban or quaint about that area at all. The Riverwalk extended north to the Pearl Brewery area about two years ago and it's got an awesome farmer's market on Saturdays, and cute shops and a couple restaurants that are doing great. Walking on the Riverwalk is one of mine and my families fav things to do. Hope that helps!

I often take an evening walk to Pearl (on a nice warm evening) along the Riverwalk extension; it's wonderful. Great recommendation.

Yes! I'm another one who would stay FAR away from the Sea World area, and would recommend something downtown.

If you're comfortable in an urban environment, S/A doesn't have much to offer. I moved from DFW to SA and was also used to that urban feel but its few and far between in San Antonio. When I was looking, I used an apartment locator that was familiar with Houston & Dallas...I'm not sure if you're familiar with Dallas but there's a couple great urban areas (Uptown, Mockingbird Station, McKinney) that I used as comparables....Unfortunately He said nothing like that really exists in SA b/c its such a growing community....From what I can tell, consider staying close to the Quarry- there are some newer apartments up there and its a somewhat walkable area. Really, I have yet to see anything thats truly an urban feel.
