Nope. You can drive out to a Super S and they double but the gas won't make it worth it.

No. However, Target will accept one manufacturer's coupon AND one Target coupon on an item.

thanks pobre...didn't know about that offer.

Saw some of that coupon fanatic tv show about the people who wind up paying $13 on a $300 grocery bill....But, there's no way I can do that if the stores won't double or offer a reward system/card. The stores here don't even give you a discount for bringing in your own bags. Sigh.

all goes back to the fact that we just don't have enough choices for grocery stores. why should they offer double when there is no competition. :/

When Kroger was here, they offered double manufacturer's coupons up to 50 cents face value. I think Handy-Andy (which was a bigger chain than it is today) also offered double coupons.

I remember the double coupons...I miss it! But of course, HEB owns S.A. They might as well rename the city HEB. Sun Harvest Farms has the discount on bringing your own bags.

I was a member of this Yahoo group with coupon fanatics. They have now moved to a website. They manage to get cheap groceries without double coupons. CVS and Walgreens have rewards systems. They would match coupons with rewards points and special sales. If you have the time and patience, you can save a lot of money. I don't have the patience.

WHole Foods and Sun Harvest give 5 cents/bag when you bring your own.

I used to do the double coupon thing in CA and saved a lot, but now I find I almost never use coupons. I buy mostly fresh and very little processed items, so there just aren't many coupons for those. Be careful using coupons - the goal is to get you to buy stuff you wouldn't normally buy and you end up spending more than you would have otherwise. I know too many people who buy thingsthey don't need/want because they have a coupon.
