Hi, I am taking my family to Sea World in San Antonio over spring break (a portion of the trip) and am looking for advice on where to get some coupons.

2 adults, 3 kids (ages 7,9,11)

2 days at the park...Friday and Saturday.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated, I've done some internet searches without great success so far.

Thankyou!

Usually don't see too many coupons until summer when you'll find them on soda cans.

Last year, if you purchased them on the Sea World website there was a slight discount.

If you are military, they offer a "Salute to the Hero's" free day and/or you can get discounted tix at the base.

If you live here and think you'll go at least twice during the year, go for the annual pass. You get discounted guest tickets and dicounts in the park with that.

btw...Once you get IN the park buy one of those refillable drink bottles - you'll get discounts on soda/drinks the rest of the day and they'll fill 'em with water for free.

Good luck!

I would recommend you call them and they will tell you. My daughter worked in the call center last year and they all know what the best deal is. I'm thinking it would probably be two season passes and the discounts that are included with them.

I was looking at the website a while ago, and it says something to the effect of "pay for a day and go all year". I think it's called a Fun Pass. I suppose it is similar to the season pass, but it does not include the parking. But generally (can't remember the exact numbers), a one day pass is like $59 and the seaon pass is $79 (and with that you get free parking and discounts, which, if you don't live in the area, may not be necessary).

the fun pass is the season pass and it's good for a full year now. as in if you bought it on June 15th 2009, it wouldn't expire until June 15th 2010. That's a new feature this year.

The fun pass is your best bet, the coupons are normally at the Valero gas stations around town. and in the paper every weekend.

I forgot that you can also "finance" the tickets. My daughter told me about that one and I found it sorta strange, but I suppose it's a way to get something now and pay for it later.
you also actually save a few pennies by paying over time. interesting

the annual pass also includes parking. I would still call the 1-800 number because they know all the facts.

I checked it out and a season pass is $80 and includes parking. Seems like a pretty good deal when visiting for 2 days (instead of paying 46 x 2 = 92).

I will probably look for some sort of coupon that takes another $5 or so off etc. if I can find one...might as well try to knock a little bit more off since I'm dropping $400 for 5 tickets. :-)

It looks to me that if you get just one season pass and the "fun passes" for other family members you'll save some, but still get the parking and in-park discounts by using the season pass for those items. Best of both worlds!

As often as my kid goes with his buddies, we never got much out of the parking benefit unless I was driving/parking. Same for in park - I just bought him the refillable drink thing and he got an automatic discount with that and never had to show his season pass. Sounds like a winner for me!!
