Google bad hotel room pictures or something to that effect and it can scare ya!

Yeah, Im sure a lot worse things are found besides pet hair.

La Quinta has never questioned our husky, he is 65 pounds. We also don't go parading him through the lobby, he comes in the back door when we bring in our luggage and human kids. I don't even bother looking at other hotel chains, La Quinta has my business 100% when we're traveling with our dog. And they are based in San Antonio.

I don't think the OP was talking about a service dog. They are an exception to the rule that doesn't seem to exist, yet.

La Quinta's general policy is dogs allowed up to 50 pounds. But they are not breaking out a scale. If you leave the dog in the room while your not there you are supposed to tell them so a maid doesn't go in. They would prefer it be crated if your not in the room. Individual locations may vary from the overall policy. Call the location to be sure about it before you book.

La Quinta does restrict the rooms that dogs are allowed in and any damage or pet stains are billed to the occupant. You can get a room that has never had a dog (to their knowledge) in it.

We use them when we travel and only came across one so far that did not allow dogs.

The Drury allows all breeds and all sizes. We have rottweilers and have never had a problem. I have always enjoyed my stay at the Drury.
