I live off Jones Maltsberger just north of the airport and I can hear this BOOM...BOOM...BOOM outside. Not like music, more like gunfire or explosions farther off. Just curious if anyone knows what it is.

I live by Lackland, and when we hear it, it is gunfire...some sort of big gun they're practicing with. But that is a mystery, over where you live...

Eh, sounded much shorter. Wasn't sure if this was a common occurance since I just moved here yesterday. It's not loud by any means, I can only hear it if I go towards the dumpster. Just curious

Happens every year this time to mark the beginning of Fiesta week. Should be another one next Sunday night as the finale to Fiesta week.

Another one Friday night after the Battle of the Bands at Alamo stadium. I'm sure you will hear that also. Ft. Sam was beautiful and a long show too.

I've heard fireworks tonight in my part of North Central SA. We figured there was a Fiesta connection.

I heard it in the northside area too. Sounded like it was coming from the south. I don't think something from Ft Sam could have been heard from here though.
