Hi
We are four people heading to San Antonio on August 23rd for 48 hours. What's MUST for us? We only have that couple of days and we would love to make our best choices
It's our first time in Texas and in San Antonio. We are from Spain heading to Monterrey attending to a wedding there
Any helpful suggestions?
Thanks in advance !

Alamo / Riverwalk (ride the boat at the Riverwalk) / Rivercenter Mall
La Cantera (shopping)
Fiesta Texas or Sea World (theme parks)

That's probably all you can do in two days. The theme park takes at least one whole day.

Don't forget a breakfast/lunch/dinner at

MiTierra
218 Produce Row

a long-standing Mexican restaurant where watching who's there is almost as much fun as the food - a definite "must try" in SA.

and if you want some "different" cuisine, try

Schilo's Delicatessen
424 E Commerce St

they're a long-established German-style deli in the heart of downtown! Another hidden gem....

from spain eh? my neck of the woods!'

lots of good eats to be found in SA. the riverwalk will have some good eats, just be wary, as there was a higher-class place on the river walk that was recently in the news for failing its health inspection and getting shut down.

the boatride on the riverwalk may be decent, but coming from a country with a refined sense of history, you might not find it that interesting.

the alamo, meh, usual tourist spot who's address happens to be registered to a sex offender!

lots of good shopping to be had at the quarry and la cantera. the water parks are good also if you want to cool off. sea world just opened a new water park next to their usual stuff.

¡Bienvenidos a San Antonio! Tenemos muchos hispanohablantes en nuestra ciudad.
Bueno, aquí son unas attraciones:

Downtown (centro de la ciudad):
- The Alamo
- Stroll the Riverwalk
- Spanish Governor's Palace
- El Mercado (lots of Mexican crafts, a couple restaurants (Check out Mi Tierra Mexican Restaurant)
- Rivercenter Mall (nearby Alamo) to check out American shopping

Outside of Downtown (afuera del centro)
- San Antonio Museum of Art
- Witte Museum (If I were a foreigner, I'd visit this museum instead of the art museum.. especially since you are from Spain)
- Northstar Mall (a better mall than Rivercenter, indoors unlike La Cantera mall)
- Sea World or Six Flags Fiesta Texas if you like amusement parks

A restaurant I would suggest to a foreigner or out-of-state visitor is Texas Pride BBQ. Barbecue is the quintessential Texan and arguably American food.

The Cove is another nice restaurant to eat at closer to downtown:
