I was born at the Nix. You don't get much more local than that. My spouse was born at Brady Green. Same, same, very local but no longer here.

SANTA AND HIS ... DONKEY?

About 200 miles away is another Pancho. This one wears a sombrero and serape. He hangs out at San Antonio's River Walk, and poses in front of the Alamo. And, according to fliers that make the rounds, his gifts are carried in a cart pulled by trusty "burritos" — as in, well, burros.
Meet Pancho Claus, The Tex-Mex Santa

There's going to be a rally on Alamo Plaza at noon on January 18th for "Buddy the dog". The city wants to put down a 6 yr old dog (a pet of senior citizen Mr. Homer Mojica) for allegedly "biting" a 9 yr old girl. It has not been determined if the dog actually bit the girl or not. I think I'm going to this one. Free Buddy !!
