This will be my first visit to SA. My son just moved last month from NJ and I am visiting. He lives in the SoFlo area. I would love suggestions on resturants ,not touristy ones, but rather local places that have good food.
Any suggestions on things to do while I'm there.

Gotta do the Alamo and Riverwalk just so you can say ya did. Mi Tiera's is really good food and festive atmosphere but there are hole in the wall places all over with great Mexican food. Prepare for a bit of weight gain. Have a great time and welcome to San Antonio!!!

Bring good walking shoes because you are going to do a lot of that. If you're into history at all be sure to visit all the missions not just the Alamo. My son just move to So town, (he moved into St Benidicts) as well he has been gone from the area for about 15 years, great to have him back.
