The MYSA and WOAI websites both have sections listing local Halloween events.

Is anyone inside SA doing hayrides? My daughter wants to go on one, and we use VIA {don't drive} and I haven't found anywhere yet.

The main haunted hayride, out near Rolling Oaks Mall, shuttered years ago thanks to a lawsuit involving one of the tractors accidentally running over someone and breaking their leg.

Sad, as the haunt was pretty good. I remember going there as per usual, as well as the fun March of Dimes haunt that setup in the striped tent in the Crossroads Mall parking lot.

Ah, memories

I do wish the haunted hayride that was out at Rolling Oaks Mall would return, but I guess SA just isn't a good venue for it.

I did find this, but it's quite a drive out there.

Get Directions to Horror in the Hills Haunted house in Bandera Texas (http://www.horrorinthehills.com/directions.html - broken link)

Last year, there was one out on the NE side of town, but I haven't seen any advertisement for it so far. They told us they would be opening up this year, so I guess it's wait and see.

Last time I tried to take the kids to seaworld the park was closed early, so please verify the hours before making plans to head out. I was dissappointed to find that they did not extend there hours last time I was there. This may have changed. Nightmare on Grayson is good for the kids but the crowd can be a bit unsavory outside. Austin has some very good haunted houses if you're willing to commute.

SeaWorld is open til 10pm Fridays and Sat nights (9pm on Sundays) all through the month of October. Howl-o-Scream is one we never miss every year. We also have Fiesta Texas passes so we'll be checking theirs out this weekend.
