The only thing that I don't really like is that the majority of these photos have been taken in the downtown (or just north/south) of the city. That's not as great of representation of the city as I would have hoped. This looks like a newer facebook page so maybe the photographer will venture outside of 410 at some point in time. There is lots of good people watching and photo opportunities north of the "city."

And I like the stories that go along with the pictures. It adds to the story of the photo.

I thought this looked familiar when I first saw it then I remembered reading a Huffington Post article about HONY.

So for those wishing the photos were taken all around town, I doubt that is going to happen if HOSA is supposed to be our carbon copy of HONY.

Oh and if anyone wants to discuss the photos instead of debating about...I don't know what...I did leave the above comment.

I'm overweight, and a former low wage earner now living on $950/month social security; but I am definitely not a "low life". I find your comment to be offensive! If you have a nice physique, and a fairly high income, be thankful; but remember money and looks don't make you any better than anybody else.

From what I've seen, it's a pretty good cross section of the city, strange and not-so-strange alike. Looking at the whole collection, I'm pretty sure that it could've been compiled nowhere else. Viva San Antonio!
Thanks for posting this. I really enjoyed the FaceBook link. I love San Antonio, and its diverse people and cultures. There are four more pictures I would have loved to have seen. A picture of Andean Fusion playing on the Riverwalk outside of Rivercenter Mall, a picture of the late Bongo Joe with his oil drums, a picture of the traffic cop that directed traffic for a zillion years at the corner of St. Mary's and Houston, and a picture of "Apple George" Cline, who used to sell apples around the courthouse in the 50s.
