I had the same problem when I asked to be taken to an airport hotel here in SAT- Complete attitude the whole time! I told him to just let me out before we ad left but now he said he's already out of line.... I should have gotten out anyway.

They are not guaranteed a high fare. They need to just do their job and quit with the rudeness. Sorry that happened to you!

I can sorta understand that. If it were an "airport hotel" they would have a free shuttle

There are times I travel frequently for work and take cabs to and from the airport 4-5 times a month.

Most of my experiences have been great, but two I remember being less than satisfactory. One time, the cab driver tried to hassle me about using a credit card (if you don't know, this is one of the things that is within your rights as a cab passenger in SA). Apparently he found he could deal with it when I explained that since I have no cash that was the only way he was getting paid. Another time, the driver took issue with the tone in which I gave him directions. I don't think my tone was unusual, but toe-may-to, toe-mah-to. After that it seemed like he just wanted to pick a fight with me. He lost his tip.

There were plenty of times I did not have a cab driver drop me off in front of my own apartment because I did NOT want them knowing where I live. Just in case.
