I avoid HEB like the plague...such a hastle to just run in and grab a couple things. I drive to target instead and I don't have to search for the name brands!!

Stone Oak in general is densely populated.
The 281/Evans store is not THAT bad. The one time it's very overcrowded is on a Sunday at 2pm.

I go to Target for the few things but the food selection isn't as good and they always don't have enough cashiers despite it being less busy.

It's so nice to know people agree with me
I was somewhat ok with the store until they moved the TV's and now we're forced to cover every inch of the store if we want produce, meat, dairy, and shampoo. They have just about lost me and I can walk to the darn store!!!
We're spending a lot more $$ at Walmart and Costco now.
I doubt HEB misses me and I certainly don't miss them!
**** HEB has great stuff and good prices tho.

Default What happened to the Speedy Stop

Hi, does anyone know why they ever closed that convenience store, the Speedy Stop? It's at the SW corner of 281 and Stone Oak Pkwy. And what, if anything, is going to become of that place?

Its been empty for the past couple of years. I think they closed it around the time, they started on the super street construction.

I have heard or read somewhere that this may be a VIA station in the future.
