I am wondering about Viola's as well. I heard the previous thread was closed, but not a reason why.

drove by there, it i complete. i am ready to eat. hopefully it opens soon. well, i just check the site. there is a job application, but no open date yet. all this time it was being built, i thought it was an italian restaurant. i realized its just another mexican restaurant. i wont be going there, i get that at home.
lets just hope they dont open a violas #2, #3, #4 etc..... It will just be expensive tortillas and guac.

I just got off the phone with Viola's. They are shooting for grand opening on May 18. They will have soft opening by invitation the week before so the staff can get the kinks out. They will run things like their Hacienda restaurant on Redland Road (specials, hours, etc). The hours will be Mon-Thurs 11 am-10 pm. Fri-Sat 11 am-11 pm Sun 11 am-10 pm. Theya re not sure if they will be ope for breakfast on the weekends.

They are sure going to give the Martha's that opened up in the Stockyard behind Rudys BBQ a run for their money if they don't work on their service.

Been there several times, the food is good (think Martha's on Babcock) and prices are fair, but the service is S-L-O-W and L-A-C-K-I-N-G.

Shame, cause we LOVE Martha's from when we lived in the Med Center area. If this location could work on their service...I HONESTLY think they might give Viola's a run for the money because I expect it will be a little cheaper!
