What the hell was up with the traffic today?! I guess if it rains, expect a delay because there will be crashes due to people not realizing that they must drive more cautiously when roads are wet. Thanks to a few boneheads that don't take precautions, half the city is late for work. What do you guys think? What is the solution?

No solution, just an observation.

It's not JUST the boneheads. The longer between rains, the more oil that builds up on the roads. Which comes lifting right up at the beginning of the next rain. I forgot about this 'feature' of dryer climates (having been stationed in Yuma, AZ years ago) and had the tail of my truck really start to come around on me at 20mph while turning right onto 1604 from Potranco after I first moved here last year. Luckily I'm from the land up North and know to countersteer slightly and decelerate. Based on the number of wrecks at intersections I see right after a rain starts I'm guessing this is a common cause.

People can't drive in good conditions anymore, let alone in rain. I see an accident just about half of the time I go out driving.
I don't know what the cause is, but people just don't seem capable of controlling their vehicles.

Of course I'm talking in generalities, I'm sure there are plenty of good drivers out there, it's just there are enough poor or distracted drivers out there to ruin it for the rest of us.

This is one person who would like to see it get a lot tougher to get a drivers license.

Anyone know what's being built at the intersection of Westover Hills and the road that goes to Raba Elementary?

TC, are you in our group on FB? I just posted a bunch of pics of that! It's a Stream Data Center. 9 acres. LMK if you want to join, just message me. It's a small group of us here with a vested interest in the WH area...own, rent, and/or work around there.

Does anyone know what they are building at the Westover Marketplace? It looks to be a new eatery near the Cracker Barrel.

I remember reading somewhere that Smokey Bones BBQ was planning to go in at Westover Marketplace but I don't remember when that was or any other info.
