Candlelight Coffeehouse and Wine bar..... I wouldn't say it's "dressy" but it's nice....

Home

If you want a good supper, hubby and I went to Boardwalk Bistro a few months ago and really liked it....

San Antonio Boardwalk Bistro, Mediterranean Cuisine

We went all out and did the tasting menu (with the accompanying wines). It was probably one of the best meals we've had since we moved to SA....

Candelight is nice, not dressy, but as it tends to be a gay hangout (plenty of straight folks too), there are usually a lot of well dressed, well coiffed men

It's a cafe sort of place, quiet-ish, has some couches but also tables and a courtyard.

La Frite is definitely dressier, tho we're pretty casual when we go and we usually bring the little one.

I'm willing to bet we've crossed paths somewhere. We go to all the same places.

I'm gonna attempt to shift the direction of this thread a bit... I've noticed that people have favorite restaurants for different reasons.

Now what would be the best restaurant in SA in terms of the taste of the food itself for lunch?

Thanks

There are many good restaurants in San Antonion; however, any time we go to San Anton there is a restaurant we must visit before we leave. This may be a surprise to everyone there, but, we love Bills Miller BBQ. They are everywhere in San Antonio; but, I have not seen them anywhere else. I just love their food and when in SA will go there instead of any national chain.
