TRN: How do you approach jobs on older homes like mid 50's to 60's when installing complete house softeners? Is it too costly?

It CAN get expensive. I used a Master Plumber on those jobs, simply because my customer won't have to worry about a half-baked job by some "in-house" crew that frankly could care less. My customer pays the plumber directly - that way, if there's any issues there's no "oh, you need to talk to HIM"! My guys that I refer have 30+ years of experience, so they KNOW how to do the job right.

I've seen the plumbing side run from a few hundred up to about $2,500, just depending on what it takes to get it installed. On average, it's $1,500 or so. They also know that I'll be coming in behind 'em - and if they don't do it right, I WILL call them back out. Haven't ever had to......
