Hi Jody,

Actually, that web page is an older version and hasn't been updated in a few years with anything from the association. The "official" web page for Great Northwest Community Improvement Association is here.

Ah... but do you say "tezel" or "teTzel"?

By the way, SilverCreek78250, GREAT blog.

I lived in Emerald Valley on one of the Cliff streets from 2000-2005. The key ingredients to my feeling safe and secure were in developing friendships with my closest neighbors, and the excellent effectiveness of the GNW security patrol. IMO, the structure of the GNW homowners association helps to support a true sense of "community" --- something I hadn't felt since my childhood.

My only real gripe about the area had to do with its defined bike lanes which, for the most part, were unusable due to vehicle obstruction and puncture-causing debris.

Well... for those of us who went to school with the Tezel brothers (who lived in an old house on Tezel road), we always said 'tet-sel - it's a German thing.

I find that it is just a way to see when people lived out in 78250 - '70s and '80s "Tetzel", late '80s to today "Tezel".
