Any suggestions for unique/independent/local stores to find gifts for my 18-25 year old nephews and nieces? Looking for gifts under $20. Ideas???

Buffalo Exchange in Olmos Park and Plato's Closet throughout the city. And not so independent nor is it local and may be a bit pricey by Urban Outfitters may have what you are looking for.

The Sporting District at the Pearl. It's a mens store and not many items under $20 though.

It's not independent but Restoration Hardware has ( or did last year anyway) unique gift items. It's a pretty nice store just to browse in anyway but you might want to check them out.

I second Urban Outfitters. Can't go wrong with them for 18-25 year olds at $20.

If you are getting these gift cards as Christmas gifts, be aware that Restoration Hardware usually don't have all of those nifty stocking stuffers after Christmas time and most post-Christmas inventory will cost more than $20 dollars because it is a pricey store.
