Show me where I said (or implied) that firehouse subs is the absolute only place where nasty stuff occurs or even implied that?
Of course you can't.

Not well known but legal best deal in town is Firehouse:
order a foot long and ask them to split a large drink into two cups

do the math, you get two (and a half inch more each) subs if you cut it in half, rather than the small sub combo - and save $4 on lunch for two

La Madeline makes a nice tuna salad sandwich on a baguette. Not exactly a sub but a good sandwich.

Like ketchup, most hot sauces have enough salt and vinegar that they don't require refrigeration.

A tuna Sub? Thats like a Peanut butter and Jelly sub or a spam sub or an Underwood deviled ham sub. When I go to Subway I am too ashamed to get the Cold cut combo even though I like it. Most people eat Tuna on crackers when the they don't have time for lunch,

If that's what the OP wants, who are we to judge?

And if you like the cold cut combo at Subway, stop worrying about other people's judgments (if indeed they even are judging you - I'm betting they aren't even paying attention to you) and order what you want.

And where are these "most people" who are running around eating tuna and crackers for lunch? I have seen lots of people eat tuna salad sandwiches and just the salads; I can't think of more than one or two times when I have seen people eat tuna and crackers.
