Hello everyone! My 5 yr old daughter will be attending school at Ward Elementary next year and I would like to know about any daycare centers around that area. She attends the youth center on Lackland right now, so I would like one that has at least some of the amenities that they provide (e.g. gym, playground, arts & crafts & computer room). Can anyone provide me with any information?

Thanks!

There is a new day care opened up in Wildhorse not far from Ward, but not within walking distance. I can't recall the name off the top of my head but it has something to do with trees as they have them painted all over the building. I will try and get an address and phone number for you if you are interested...

Cheers! M2

Oh, and there is a really nice large daycare center off of 1604 as you come out of the KB community that sits next to Ward. Can't remember its name either but I can find out as well. Let me know...

Nuts, thought of another one...The Mustard Seed just outside of 1560 on Galm Rd.

Best thing to do is go to Ward when it lets out and look at all the day care vehicles that leave!

The place in Wildhorse is called Our Place To Grow (hence the tree analogy), their number is 688-7202 and they are located at 10014 Wildhorse Parkway, SATX 78254. They just opened so they don't have a web site.

The Mustard Seed's number is 688-7003 and they are located at 11555 Galm Rd, SATX 78254. Click on the name to view their web site.

The last place I mentioned is Country Home Learning Center (http://www.countryhomelearningcenter.com/home.html - broken link) at 7611 Leslie Rd (just off of 1604). Their number is 688-0393 and if you click on the name you will see their web site. They are one of several Country Home Learning Centers in the city.

Here's a listing of all children's day care facilities in the 78254 zip code.

Hope that helps!

Cheers! M2
