I am suffering from allergies today, which mimic a head cold, and left work early to go get some chicken noodle soup to sooth my sore throat and put something on my stomach. I went to 3 restaurants and none had chicken noodle soup. I walked out of each and ended up with DQ's chicken and dumplings, which did not "hit the spot."

Of course I have seen it in the past when I didn't want it and don't remember where I saw it. I needed to stay in the Helotes area, and all the restaurants were in Helotes, Jim's, Luby's and Subway.

Where can I get chicken noodle soup in the city of San Antonio?

Any of you have trouble finding a favorite food, drink or item in SA?

Chick Fil A has it. Max and Ernie's has chicken and matzo ball soup. Zoe's has lemon chicken orzo soup. And sometimes HEB has it in their prepared food section.

Papasitos has good chicken and rice soup, called "Mexico City style chicken soup" I think. I know it is not noodle soup but just offering a suggestion.

This is Texas, south Texas to be specific. The local wonder treatment for allergies, and colds is an adaptation of the much loved mid-western staple of chicken noodle soup called Tortilla Soup. A bit spicier than the standard noodle soup, with tortilla strips substituted for the noodles. My wife swears by it for allergies, colds, and just general funk.

When I get a cold, or something similar that causes congestion, a nice bowl of chicken Pho is my go-to remedy. Pho Cong [Ly] never disappoints.

Jason's Deli has chicken noodle soup. There's one on 1604 and Culebra.

Allergies? Try a neti pot with good how to use instructions, and unbleached sea salt.

As far as a yummy chicken soup goes..try the chicken tortilla soup from Pappasito's! That will help you feel better!

Although I never had it so I can't comment on the taste, I saw chicken noodle soup at Subway the other day. Probably no better than campbells in a can.

Whole Foods has ready-to-go chicken noodle soup most of the time at their soup stations.

Neti Pot good idea. READ the directions and use distilled water rather than tap water.
