I think little has been said because there's so little accurate information out there at this time.

OTOH, the legal carry Good Samaritan better not get charged with a violation!

My heart goes out to the family, friends and co-workers of the man who was killed, Jonathan Murphy.
The Good Samaritan is dead. A different bystander shot the robber. If he's charged there will likely be a huge outcry although I have seen comments blaming him for shooting. Crazy world we live in. Carry and protect yourself because this will continue happening.

The "good Samaritan" actually wasn't trying to interfere, according to his widow. She says that he was only getting in between the robber and her so he could protect her. They were at Kay's getting their wedding bands cleaned. This is too close to home, literally. This could easily have been my husband and I. We shop at Rolling Oaks quite often as it's just down the road from our house.

We have going to have to wait for a more detailed and vetted analysis of what happened. It's all the fog of war right now. Maybe there is video.

The actions of the victims and CHL might be OK or bad - we don't know.

One thing is sure, a sign doesn't protect you.

Just found out that the person killed at Rolling Oaks Mall was the son of a guy I work with. Absolute bummer...

It would seem to me that sharing them on THIS thread would be appropriate.
