Hi All,
We're moving to SA, and need to look for a fertility specialist. I don't want to just look up a doctor in the yellow pages, please let me know if you or your friends have a recommendation.

Thanks,
Anjali

Default Any luck?

I was wondering if you ever found someone you were happy with? I am also looking for someone but, like you, I don't want to just pick a name out of a phone book. Any info you have would be immensely appreciated! Thanks!

I am seeing her partner, Dr. Honore'. LOVE LOVE LOVE him and the staff there.

Dr. Honore' is the 2nd doctor I have seen in SA. The first one was AWFUL..not sure if I am allowed to post his name here. The staff was rude and the doctor was absolutely horrible. DM if you want to know more.

Dr Martin and Dr Neal in the medical district. Both Drs are amazing and so is their staff. Always very friendly and prompt (for me, hopefully that isn't who a PP had issues with )

Dr Linda Ellsworth in the Methodist Plaza, Medical Center.

She tends to talk a lot, but she *really* knows her stuff and is great to work with.

I second the below. I love them. Everyone at the office is friendly and very caring. They explain everything in full detail which I love.

Default Horrible experience with FCSA

I would like to congratulate those of you who actually had a good experience with the Fertility Center of San Antonio. I hope that you all were successfull in conceiving your precious bundles of joy.

Unfortunately, I did not have such a great experience with them.

I was actually referred by my OB/GYN to go to RMA of Texas (Dr. Arrendondo) for fertility treatments. I didn't take my doctors advice and opted to go to the Fertility Center of San Antonio since they had over 20 years of IVF experience under their belt, while RMA was still fairly new to the San Antonio area at that time (if I could turn back time I would have went to RMA and saved myself some heartache)

My issues with the Fertility Center of San Antonio were:

Long waiting room times

Never got to see the doctor...NEVER..It's like the nurses run that joint. The only time we saw the doctor was during our initial consultation and each time we had an IUI ..THATS IT.

Overly priced

Was misinformed on SEVERAL occassions by the nurses at the office. I must say that the nurses are very nice at this clinic. I have to give them kudos for that.

Disorganization--They always had my medical information mixed up.

Visits felt very rushed. Often felt like I was being a burden if I asked questions about my protocol.

This is not to say that they are a bad clinic, and no one should go there. My post is only stating that they were NOT the clinic for me. Different strokes for different folks.
