No wonder. I never saw any traffic there other than few kids playing on the playground. The food must have been terrible.
100 different food truck options? Never happened.

Anyone dinned there?

Opened in 2018 by the Day family, StreetFare has hosted more than 100 different food truck options with shaded dining areas and a pavilion that features flat-screen TVs.

San Antonio food truck park StreetFare SA announced the upcoming closure of its Austin Highway spot in a Facebook post on Monday, November 14. StreetFare wrote that the gates will close for good at the end of the day on Sunday, November 20.

I never went and I agree it never seemed very busy. It’s also probably not the best place to have that sort of thing… also lots of construction lately right next to it which didn’t help.

I wonder what they will put there now? Would be nice if that area could get some development and become a “little nicer”.

The Day family made their money on car dealerships and owning a ton of franchise Aaron's rental stores.

They gave their son the money to open the food truck park. He clearly didn't have the business acumen or marketing skill to keep it going. I'd drive past and it always looked closed.

I remember reading about the place when it opened….I thought it was a clever idea and made a “note” to check it out, but never did. One thing I do recall thinking was that its location didn’t seem like an ideal spot for such a venture….I would think something like this would be more successful if it were located in a higher density, more walkable location similar to el Camino. Not easy getting all the parts right to run a successful business.

Agree 100%.

If the area ever improves and becomes more densely populated, which I do see happening in the next decade or so, this idea could definitely work out well. I wonder if they are going to sell the land?

Probably wasn't the greatest location. And not that many options.
