For the life of me I could not find the post(er) of a fellow member who got popped for doing a mere 3 MPH over the speed limit in Shavano Park. Now for my fun. I got popped literally after just pulling out of my subdivision on 281 south by a Bexar County Sheriff! What was my offense? Oh, for failing to signal a lane change. The first one was claimed when I moved into the fast lane. The second one? Oh, when I was moving out of said fast lane to the slow lane to pave a way for the sheriff. grrrr. Though I think I signaled each time, he disagreed. He also said my signal was working fine when I pulled over for 20 minutes while I did the sit of shame on the side of the highway. His claim was he was keeping the highways safe since they still consider it Memorial Day weekend. Though where was he when I got cut off twice...yes TWICE on 281 north after leaving the museum today and forced into another lane? Oh, that is a question I should only ask myself. hahaha So any other lucky bugs with tickets this weekend? I am thinking I should fight it since I have nothing else to do and maybe the officer will not show up. haha Otherwise I see $215 out of pocket plus the cost of traffic school. blah.

Also, it was my first ticket in 26 years! The last one I got was when I was 17...yikes!

It was ryneone in the OT thread, 3 mph over in Shavano Park.

Bummer!! Tickets are money out the window......I haven't had one in a while, because I've learned to obey each and every traffic rule, and I never speed.

Yeah, right! It's the luck of the draw.

Last weekend was the "No Refusal" weekend. Maybe this was the "No Mercy" weekend?

Not to be mean, because I'm really not, but if you take the $215 and divide it over the 26 years since your last ticket (wow you are old) that's only about $8.27 a year. I know you've probably deserved to get a ticket many times over all those years (gasp,,,,a lot of years) so just pay it and hope you're covered for 26 more years. Just sayin'......

I didn't get a ticket, but the guy in front of me did today about 7:45 pm on the frontage road by the Academy at 410 & Military. The police have a new car in their arsenal. It's a all black 2008 4-dr Chevy Impala. It was right in front of me and all of a sudden it lit up like a christmas tree (scared the crap out of me !!). Oh, the windows were all tinted with LIMO BLACK.

bahahahhaaa yes I am old, and doing the math...I am well overdue...and yes dear, I have broken many traffic laws since then. Heck, even failing to signal a few times. hahahaha I was on my way to Jack in the Box to pick up dinner, so this would be the most expensive dinner at Jax EVAH! Heck, I should have taken the clan to Ruth's Chris (sans ticket of course)...it may have been cheaper! Especially since our 8 year old does not eat meat! LOL

HOLY COW!!! And here I got nailed by a basic Bexar County MARKED vehicle! I do not think those front windows will pass inspection though. LMAO

Ok, I'm sorry but this sounds crazy!!! When do you ever see someone signaling for a lane change???? ( RARELY - yes, I sometimes do it but hardly ever! I just look around me and change my lanes safely. AND.....when do I ever see someone else signal for a lane change?? hmmmm....maybe 1% of the time?? I don't know....maybe it's just me, but I would also be irritated to be singled out amongst all those others who aren't perfect to-the-letter drivers! And....3 MPH of the speed limit? Pahleeze......what about the folks who do 85 MPH in a 65 zone??

I'm also one of those like the OP who hasn't rec'd a traffic violation in years!!! (hope I didn't just jinx myself LOL), even though you can average it out over 25 years, it's still frustrating AND expensive
