We've been to Medina twice now, stayed at the same place (the one with the sunflowers painted on the fence) and it was great, the people that own it are very nice the place had grills, bathrooms and a boat dock, good fishing too. But where do you go if your broke and want to go to the lake for less than $15?

Well actually, I never made it . We were at home and talking about taking the boat out and then we said "let's go camping" . So hubby loaded the camper behind his truck and I loaded the boat behind the Jeep and we set sail for the weekend. As soon as I get in there, I will post up a review. We actually never even went to that side of the lake. Only made it as far as the cliffs.

Not sure where you are talking about. Whats the name of the place you go, what do they charge? Are you looking for camping or just day use? Have you checked with the county park for day use? It has a nice boat ramp and you can take a grill. The bathrooms, not so good. I haven't been there in a long time but you could get a season pass for not so much. I know someone out there knows more than I do about this.

We don't use the county park. But I can tell you that when we go by there on the boat it is VERY crowded. Yes, there is some sort of yearly pass you can get but I don't know anything about it either sorry. I myself wouldn't want to go there, but that's just my opinion.

Just looked up the county park. Any idea why it's more to launch a jet ski than a boat?? There is a $10.00 entry fee per vehicle , then a launch fee of $5.00 for boats and $10.00 for jet ski's. Heck at those prices it's only a little more to go camping and spend the night.

Wow, that is pretty strange about the boat and jet ski fees. I checked it out too, maybe it is a typo

OK, this is just a huge guess . Maybe the fee is $10/car without a boat or jetski, $10/car with a jetski, and $5/car to launch boat.
I surely hope they don't charge $10/car and then the other fees on top of that.

I'm only saying $10/jet ski and $5/boat because people with boats tend to take off and do their own thing. While people with jet skis would still be actually using the park.

I really need to get to work and think about something else Happy Friday!!!
