Anyone know of any other call centers in the downtown area which are paying at least $11.00 an hour and up?

My part time job is just fine but I want to see if there are other opportunities in the downtown area which are paying at least that amount and up (for extra income).

I'm going to look into Frost Bank downtown and see if there are opportunities there.

Years ago, as one of my university internships, I worked for the SA Symphony and the Broadway Series. There is a small bank of both cold and renewal callers in the basement of The Majestic. Pay is somewhere between $10-13/hr. From what I remember, it was easy work, as most people who they called wanted season tickets or were existing season ticket holders.

You might want to stop by the ticket office at The Majestic and see if they're hiring.

You can try Caremark mail order phamarcy. Caremark.com. I work there its a good place to work. I think they already finished hiring for next year. But, you can see if other depts are hiring. Pizza hut call center is crap. 7.00 or so an hr and Part time, But hey its work. University Hospital has a small center near their downtown Hospital. True most are not in downtown, though. You can try going West telemarking near Huebner and I H 10. Also QVC is on far West side. Off of Westlakes area. Way past 410. I heard something call Scarsborough outbound surveys. Partime but over 12.00 n hr, I heard. Its in the business park by Babcock and 410. Business park off of IH10 and Dezavala has more than one call center I heard. EX: Medco, Coventry, United health care"?"not sure and one I think is called BD--somthing."a medical supply store". At 8401 Datapoint on the NW side their is ILD call centers at 10floor at 2nd floor try Afni. Building beside I heard there is a 24call center for those home security services. Also try the temp services Aerotech, Remedy, Todays, and Hawkins come to mind. VIP temps at South park mall was hiring for DPT laboratories earlier this year. Doing assmebly or packing work, Located at Josephine near broadway. Good luck.

Does anyone know if the phone company still occupies the building at Broadway/Hildebrand? They also had centers downtown.

I've also heard of people working from home instead of driving to the call center. But I don't know how that works.

I also found out something else!

VIA Metropolitan Transit (the bus company) has a small call center for Information Operators who take calls helping people with bus information and it's located there at 1021 San Pedro. It's just north of downtown.

I also found out that VIA has another call center located in the "Transguide" building (across from Dave & Busters). They have "agents" there who take calls specifically for the "VIA Trans" clients who use VIA vans and STAR vans for transportation.

Transguide is a bit out of the ways; I didn't even know that VIA has employees there in that building.

Is this something that you would apply online for? I've never heard of a mail order pharmacy call center. Do you know where they are located at?

That's right! I forgot about that one. Yes, University Health Center does have a small call center for employees taking calls for "Carelink" members and it's located right there inside the old Robert Brady Green (University Health Center - downtown) building.

I had my Carelink re-enrollment a couple of months ago there and when I had made small talk with the employee, she told me there is a call center there and that they were hiring at the time. I had forgot all about that.
