Has anyone seen those digital looking billboards off of 1604/braun?

Yesterday they had images switching in remembrance of 9/11

Where? I live just outside of 1604 and Braun, and I don't recall ever seeing any digital billboards? Are they under the Walgreens on the NW side of that intersection, or the Valero or Shell stations on the east sides? I don't think there are any billboards on the Mt Zion Lutheran Church property on the SW portion of that intersection...

One of them is right in the parking lot of the Valero. The other is heading towards Culebra/1604

I am not sure if they were just temporary, but I'm 100% positive they were never there before. lol

I believe permission to use them was just given by city council a few months back, so they're probably brand new.

...also Loop410 near Nacogdoches heading East. Commemorating 911...it was lovely.

Hope they keep them simple and not too distracting....I could see some dummy watching it change instead of the bumper in front of him!

PRM

I took an alternate route home so I could see them (I usually break off of 1604 at Shaenfield) and sure as heck, there it was (the one at Valero). I will confirm that it hasn't been there too long, but it is a great spot as that intersection has the most traffic therefore the most "customers." Until they get around to building an overpass at Braun and 1604 (scheduled for 2045, or sometime thereafter), it is a prime advertising spot!

Cheers! M2

Well, as long as they don't cause any more accidents, I think they're a swell idea. That being said, I almost careened into the Pearl Brewery looking at the new one on the 281/35 interchange...
