Try Terrell Heights. But cheap is relative, they are cheap for '09. But there are still some good buys. Not many though.
Realtor.com is a good website but they are usually about a week (if not more behind). Keller Williams seems to be a little faster. Kuper, if you get MLS # off Realtor.com always has more pics.
Best bet is to have access to MLS but unless you are realtor that's hard!
Drive around in the neighborhoods and look for the sale by owner signs.
Research!

I am currently flipping mine in Terrell Hills. Lived in it 1 1/2 years and I will walk away with living for free plus cash.
Years ago I had a lowball offer accepted in Terrell Hills and then they told me since it was a HUD foreclosure they knocked $10,000 more off! LOL!
You never know.
Just be patient, know what things are going for and then be ready to jump when you find the right one! Low ball, you'd be surprised what some ppl will agree to.

One good tip is to pad 20% over any repairs because things come up you aren't expecting. Try to do some work yourself.

I have a friend who's in the flipping business in San Antonio and he tells me it's particularly difficult to flip even moderately priced homes in San Antonio's more desirable areas.

He bought a $200k three bed, two bath in Terrell Heights and tried to flip it for a hair over $300k and it's been on the market for almost a year. San Antonio is a very fragile market and as of yet, does not seem very interested in refurbished older homes.
