We moved to San Antonio in June for my career. My husband is certified in 4-8 Science and has a year of experience teaching junior high. We didn't think he would have any trouble finding a new position, however he hasn't gotten very many hits.

When should we stop searching for a teaching position? We are starting to get concerned.

I wouldn't stop...August is when a lot of teachers get hired. Now that the principals are starting to come back, you should be getting some calls.

Congratulations on the job! I have one, you have one, hopefully everyone else who has been so frustrated looking for one will get one before the summer is over.

Thanks, everyone!! I tried not to take it personally, given the numbers of well qualified applicants that I encountered at job fairs.

Now, I'm in a panic to get my "to-do" list (@ home) finished!!

I went to NEISD, Northside, and the SAAPA one in June. I did get hired last Friday; however, it had nothing to do with job fairs..It was the school I did my student teaching at, and that I did a long term sub at (please forgive the grammar!).
