Hmmm, El Paso has arches...didn't McAllen decide it wanted to erect a bunch of arches and call itself the "City of Arches"? And an SA artist says McAllen ripped off his idea, too? Sounds like McAllen officials run around the state looking for ideas to rip off. Sad.

Well, if they decide to start a monthly Art Walk celebration downtown and put a friendly dinosaur (Dino Bob) on top of one of their museums (calling it Dino Roberto), we'll know they've been bopping around Abilene!

thats true... and on new years eve McAllen had a "ball drop" like in Time Square in NY. and the 6th street club idea (17th street in McAllen) and the underpass lights like in SA and now the arches like in EP. I think McAllen is pulling ideas from everywhere haha...

The lights that mcallen used were not an idea of any one in san antonio it, this idea came from mcallen sister city south of the boreder name monterrey mcallen and its sister made a deal on it them light south of mcallen have been there for 20 years now
