it's amazing how it differs so much, just a few miles apart!

i never saw hail that was marble size, but it was bigger than a pea. short lived though. no power outage, just a 3-4 brown outs, which i hate!

i wanted more rain!

Mine were already there.

The hail made a serious racket banging against our west-facing windows. We stayed out of the room with those windows for a few minutes because we were afraid it would break them.

I didn't see any obvious damage in my neighborhood, driving through it this morning.
Hmmm... ok. I'll have to walk around some when I return to TX on Friday. If I see a lot of leaves and twigs on the ground (and holes punched in the leaves of my raspberry plants ) I guess that means there was large hail at my place.

To be honest, I don't even know what a hail-damaged roof looks like anyway. I'm not worried about cars because they both live indoors.

I just walked out to check my car (it is dark when I go to work in the morning), and no hail damage whatsoever. I remember a few years ago, you saw hail-damaged cars all over the place...roofs and hoods looking like someone took a ball-peen hammer to them.

Plus, this morning everyone's trash cans were knocked over. I had to go a couple doors down to find the lid for one of mine. I am sure there will be trash blowing around all over the place today!

But it sure is a nice day out there!

Cheers! M2

My wife goes into work around 2:30 AM, she told me she changed the clocks. I guess the power couldn't of been out that long.

Here across from Churchill HS, we had golf-ball sized hail.

The lightning was great. The hail was great. The rain was wonderful.
Around the downtown area I get hail about every 6 to 7 months usually.
No damage to any ones' property either. So lucky!

I just washed the Toyota, and the water spots were murder! There were no dents as far as I can tell; but I could swear I had some slight scratches that weren't there before. That is the problem with a black car, it looks great when it is clean, but they are hard to keep nice!

Anyone else get it? This is the first time I can recall a hail storm here since we moved back in 2005. When we lived here last (1999-2002), we experienced a few of them. Back then I could get both cars in the garage, but now with the Jeep and an extra motorcycle, there's no room!

Cheers! M2
The same play was going on over here, only I donned a helmet and it was old army blankets. Oh, and the plants are wintering in both sides of the garage.

It was primarily quarter sized, with a few pieces surpassing a golf ball. I had a couple fingers caught between the car and a hailstone, sucker stung.

Is winter over now? 'cuz it sure feels like it is.

Scamp

Your old army blankets are probably the same thing that I call horse blankets. Green, wool, itchy and with a 'US' emblem on them, right?

Cheers! M2
