Evans & 281 here in Stone Oak. Got a decent amount of hail. Thank goodness all the cars were in the garage. Saved a few pieces of hail to show the kids in the morning. Sunday Morning Meteorology Lesson. Rare that it's so up close & personal.

Better than a tornado, that's for sure!

Did you guys get hail? Where at? Hope no one got any damage.

The heavy rain (not total rain) definitely lasted 30 minutes, but I believe that the hail itself lasted only 10-15 minutes. Does that sound off to you?

Guess that's one more reason to keep the cars in the garage. Not just to keep the neighborhood from looking "tacky", as so many have put it in the past.

I'm near Churchill HS and heard it, but didn't see it. I thought it might break my bedroom window it was so loud.

Alamo Ranch area and we got the skirting of it...nice rain but we missed the hail.

works for me....on 1 Nov of 2010 we had a hail storm move thru this area soooooo bad that we all got new roofs and cars had major damage from it...seems that little storm pounded the AR area mostly, because folks in other areas had little to no damage...crazy stuff hail, but you are right, MUCH better than tornados!

LOL @ the forum maintenance they had just now & the visible change of an "original poster" button.

I was watching the radar signature on weather.com and there was yellow & red shading surrounding a central purple mass. This purple mass passed right over the Far North side of town. I'm guessing the hail was included in that purple mass.

1604 and Nacocdoches...We got about 10 minutes of small hail along with about 30 minutes of heavy rain. We didn't notice any hail damage. It took all of about two minutes for our street to become a river of water about three to four inches deep. The storm woke everyone in the house. My two year old thought that a person was throwing something on the house to make the noise. He kept saying, "Who is doing that?"

We should start to see a lot more greenage and flowers blooming real soon from the rain.

211 @ Culebra/471. We got hail and it was decent size as I too thought we would get a broken window. I'm in Wind Gate Ranch.
