Hey folks I'm back with another question. I lived in Corpus Christi for 2 years, and it seemed like most of the people there referred to CC as "Little San Antonio". Do you guys see any truth in this statement, is the atmosphere of SA similar to the atmosphere of CC. Are the attitudes of the people kind of similar? What do you guys think?

I don't think so. To me, they are still different. One thing that I've always been curious about is does Corpus have an african american area? You know, like San Antonio's East Side?

Yeah, they got 1, it is very small though. When i lived in corpus, i could go out and like a day or two would pass before i would see any African Americans. The area is called the cut i think. You can do a search on here for the cut and i think you'll find some information out.

Honestly, they are nowhere near similar. Corpus now is probably the same as SA in the 80's and since Corpus hasn't changed much in the last 40-50 years the name "Little San Antonio" probably started in the 80s and they haven't let go of it.

Agreed...... San Antonio may have parts of town that are similar in ways to Corpus, but you can find that between almost any two cities. San Antonio has done alot of changing in the last couple decades, and Corpus not so much.

Wow Corpus hasn't changed much in the last 40-50 years, thats amazing. People down there have very extreme opinions about Corpus, They either hate it, or they absolutely love it. So you don't think they are alike at all? I noticed that demographically it seems to be pretty alike, and lots of people refer to CC as a blue collar worker city, do you guys think of SA the same way? Also CC has a ton of low paying jobs, and not that many high paying jobs, do you guys think SA is the same way?
