Rio Mambo may or may not be closing! Let's get a petition going to save this GREAT Tex-Mex restaurant!!! Tell us about your great experience there, and/or any information about it's closing or relocation!!

My thoughts exactly! Was just discussing this myself with another user. Coincidence? Apparently that many people have Rio Mambo on the brain. Hope it comes back! They just introduced a fried cheesecake.

If the landlord locked them out, Rio Mambo doesn't need a petition expressing support, they need money to pay the rent.

Oh wow... I'll be really bummed! Rio Mambo is great... really yummy and fresh food. Love the margaritas!!!!! I hope they stay open. They're in a pretty decent location. I can't imagine why they wouldn't do well.

Rio Mambo started in Ft. Worth and was less than a mile from my 1st apartment. We used to always go on Friday nights and would often wait over an hour. It was worth it!

Not as bad as you might think. It's more of a cheesecake chimichanga. Comes (or came) with blueberries or strawberries, so fruit adds a health factor....doesn't it?

I guess we could always hope support causes them to reopen in a more affordable location instead of just packing off? They seemed to have steady business.

Jk_55, Rio Mambo is always worth the wait! The fried cheesecake is great! I love their brisket tacos, too. I think they're the only tex-mex establishment that has brisket on the menu.

HisLilSecret, there are lots of healthy options on their menu. And everything is made fresh!

Lauren, I'm totally bummed too! They were doing so well, always had a good crowd going. I read somewhere that property in Stone Oak when up drammatically over the last few months. Perhaps that's why they're having trouble.

Blanco Cafe has brisket tacos on their menu, too.

It's not so much the "healthy" thing because I love cheesecake as much as the next guy, but fried is just pushing it over the edge a bit. I'm not one to turn down Tex-Mex, though.
