Hopefully you all have noticed this by now, but there is a difference in the H.E.B's throughout the city. I'm just curious as to where are the clean, nicer H.E.B's that aren't always crowded. Also where's the clean nicer Wall-Marts? The area that I'm interested in is NW San Antonio, but you can post other locations, for other people who i'm sure are wanting this information also. This is very important, cause there is nothing worse than a trashy H.E.B.

Thanks

"Nice" WalMart? No such thing in San Antonio.

The HEB at Wurzbach and I10 is decent, but usually pretty busy.

The HEB Plus at Potranco and 1604 is clean and nice--but usually crowded. The HEB at 1604 and Culebra is reasonably clean--I've never seen it "dirty" or "nasty"--but again, usually crowded.

Wal-Mart--I haven't had any problems with either the Culebra/1604 one or the Bandera/Mainland location. I think they've come a long way regarding their store standards--they used to be nasty nasty places to shop, but I think they do a much better job now.

Oak Park HEB is the nicest one I've been to. I don't think you'll find a "nice" Wal-Mart anywhere in the country!

I second these, and I'll add the WM at Potranco/1604 is reasonably decent. (sorry rd!)

Nothing wrong with the walmart at 1604/281.

You guys are great, I thought that I would get flamed for asking this, because i thought that i might be one of the only people that notice a difference in the H.E.Bs. I've lived close to some H.E.B's that were so nasty and full of characters that I would drive out of may way to do my shopping. I've also noticed the same thing with Wall-Marts. Target seems to do a better job of keeping their stores nice, but they're a little more pricey than Wall-Mart, but at least you don't have to worry about your car being broken into while your shopping. I also noticed that the Cuts and Prices of meat seem to vary from H.E.B to H.E.B. What do you guys think?
