I saw a relatively new yellow Vette the other day with pinstripes. Maybe I'm the minority in this, but I never liked them and especially not on a Vette

I can safely say my Mom did not have a probe when i was a kid....she drove a 1970 something yellow toyota corolla with a giant hole on the floorboard of the front seat that i used to throw stuff down while she was driving.

Not me! Well, not the vehicle anyway.

Nearly half of those are some of my all-time favorites. How could anyone call an Enzo, SSR, Prowler, or El Camino ugly?
yeah this list is really confusing...business week needs to stick to business writing

For sure! did you read any of the comments people left? Some simply didn't agree and others got mad and said some really mean things. It was definitely an awful list and no list should ever be able to hold a Pacer, Gremlin, and Enzo. The only thing hotter than the looks of the Enzo is the sound. I saw one in Sarajevo of all places and actually heard it from a couple miles away. It was a local mafia guy's car and those 12 cylinders sang a sweet tune. It was also the brightest yellow I've ever seen. Nothing like sticking out like a sore thumb in a place where Yugo's are actually still manufactured.

Watch it, buster! That's my car you're talking about!

Actually, here's the official story behind the name from Toyota...

Quote:
The background on the Yaris name is actually really interesting. It stems from a goddess in Greek mythology, named CHARIS, who was a symbol of beauty and elegance. We put that together with the German expression of agreement, YA. We think the name symbolizes the car’s broad appeal in styling and really represents Toyota’s next generation of global cars.
Since it's derived from German, it has to be good!

But honestly, I liked its predecessor's name better...the ECHO! It had a nice Eighties ring to it. Too bad it wasn't a very popular car...

Cheers! M2

hmmm, the Japanese must've translated that wrong or something. When I see a Yaris, the first thing I think is where's the rest of the car? not beauty and elegance..
Just giving you grief. They're definitely better than most of the tiny cars and Toyota quality can't be beat, especially not by anything German.

so.. the last gifts I got my wife, which were the first two she got, were flowers. Two deliveries because that wasn't expected at all and it went over great because one arrived right after the other. One was FTD delivery and the other was UPS. BUT, the two dozens roses from ProFlowers.com arrived covered in mold. That totally screwed up everything, but they are shipping out another two dozen immediately and they will arrive tomorrow. I wonder if this nasty humid weather has anything to do with it? and how can they get mold from yesterday afternoon? that's when they were shipped out. They left out of Mesquite, TX last night after 9 PM, so they had to have had the mold on them when they left. That was barely 12 hours.
At least the made it right.
