I really didn't mind the music as long as they left out the accordion crap.

What the hell?

This is where he lived for many, many, years....

google maps san antonio - Google Maps

I wasn't a fan but lived a couple blocks away as a child. Been in the house in later years and met the man and his family. He used to park the old Tour bus in the alley. Met his brother also he lived over Highlands area.
My grandfather worked at Pearl and he always mentions Adolph Hofner's music. He even has one of his CD's.

That's like going to What a Burger and asking for a hamburger without any meat, makes no sense. Or saying I like to go to Spurs games as long as nobody cheers.
Adolph Hoffner and Bubba Littrell two San Antonio greats.

Or like eating a moose burger without a turd in it..
To each his own. Accordion crap is right! If I liked accordion music I would have gone to Farmer's Daughter or some other ol' fogy hang out and partied! As for SA greats Bubba Littrell was more so in my opinion.

Ahha! No ..no ..no.. Believe me, dad played guitar and I grew up going to jam sessions. I just cannot stand accordion music. My brother and I even had one a couple different times to kick around as we were growing up. Like strangling a cat or worse. Yeah old Adolph was certainly worthy of recognition as many others from SA. I never attended his doings but I knew the type of music he played. May have actually seen him doing a warm up once. Reminds me of the Pheil Bros.. knew a family member of theirs. Fiesta Texas even ran me out of the German Village with ...you know..

P.S. back in the days I went dancing Farmer's Daughter's and Hilltop were for ol' fogies. I was early 20's sooo...
