The closing Chrysler dealerships just might be the beginning of the end for the company. It is highly unusual just to shut down operations completely, even if it is for only 30 days, or however long they stay in bankruptcy. They're losing market share that Ford, and other auto makers, are grabbing.

So now I'm really confused... she's a model?

Wish I could chime in on the whole Chrysler thing, but I've been way too busy to follow the news this week.

There are so many other Chrysler franchises in San Antonio that are owned by conglomerates (selling more than one make of car) that could have taken the hit better than Fiesta (who sells only one). I've been dealing with them since they were Main Lincoln-Mercury back in 1983 and they've been nothing but good to me. I'm seeing a trend with Chrysler, one of decidedly bad decisions. With that said I don't see Chrysler making it out this recession alive. Here's hoping Fiesta can pick up another make, be successful and rub it in Chrysler's corporate face.

The owner of the dealership said on the news last night that the company had been around for 20 years and he hoped it would be around for 20 more. He also said they plan to sue Chrysler to keep the Dodge franchise, because they feel it is being removed unfairly. Sounds like we haven't seen the last of them, so I will add some uncertainty to the thread title. If they're looking for suggestions, Fiesta Ferrari would have a nice ring to it.

Chysler dumped a dealership that was leading in car sales nationwide. This was reported yesterday on ABC News at 5:30. Go figure!

It's a Pontiac dealer. I'm not surprised to see any Pontiac dealer on GM's list.
