We are moving in a month and are looking at rental homes - sight unseen. Can you tell us anything about Stonecreek or Sunset? We have a small family and want to rent for a year before buying/building.

What are the neighborhoods like? Are they safe? How are the houses?

Please help - we need to make a decision soon....

Thanks!

No question about it...Stonecreek! The homes (Armadillo) and the area are MUCH nicer. Sunset (KB Homes) is more crowded and in a rougher neighborhood. In Stonecreek make sure you rent in the Northside ISD area. The other part of Stonecreek is the Southwest ISD.

Totally agree with Steel Man...out of the two neighborhoods, Stonecreek, IMHO, wins hands down. Better home builder in Stonecreek and the area is actually pretty with many trees and very hilly in spots. And yes, do make sure your home is in the NISD area which is basically going to be all areas further north of the first couple of streets as you enter the neighborhood.

Also, check the NISD.net website to make sure that exact address is in the NISD. Look for buses/boundaries on the website. It probably won't be a guarantee for next school year because of the rapid growth, but it's a start.
