I think the marketing people who chose to remove him made a big mistake. But they're young and smarter than your average Whataburger customer... or so they think.

Trinity University marketing professor Kim Robertson said companies typically change marketing campaigns every few years to keep their promotions fresh.
While changes in marketing plans carry risks, Whataburger appears to be focusing on traditional themes of customer service and customer loyalty that should be well received

Looking at the photos on the link, I can't say I have seen a lot of good employee moral at whataburger personally.

I wonder how this new marketing approach will work?
