Good luck wc2005. With the cold front moving in it should have the critters moving about more often. Consider the full Moon... they may be moving about a little later tomorrow.
We saw a lot of sign earlier this week when my son and I were scouting in Atascosa County.

Looking forward to your Report.

OK ... WHERE are y'all going hunting at?? Camp Bullis was mentioned, but is that actually opened to the public?

My husband is driving me nuts wanting to go hunting. However, it seems like you've got to know somebody who's got land.

Bullis is only open to DoD ID card holders (active duty military, their family members, Reservists and Guardsmen, Govt civilians and us retirees)...

You can also look at the Texas Parks and Wildlife webpage for some public land options.

Fort Hood, though a couple of hours away, is open to the public and is very reasonably priced.

There is another one near Del Rio but I forget the name of it.

No luck today. I have a camera set up and definately have three good bucks coming in...just not when I'm there. Between the weather and the moon phase, its rough going on the deer stand right now.

Plus the acorns are starting to fall right now so they won't be coming to the feeders as much.

We have cameras set up and so far it's mostly just hogs, hogs and more hogs. Last year we were seeing lots of deer, on the camera at least. This year not so much.

The hogs will run off the deer. You need to trap them. Those suckers are nasty!! We only eat them if they are little bity, the big ones are buzzard and coyote food.
