Hey guys - not sure if this is ok here or not - but some friends of mine had a dog surrendered to them, and they can't keep her. They've tried several shelters but only Animal Control Services would accept her.

Hello everyone,

We need your help!!! We have a dog that was surrendered to us and she needs a loving home. She is 3 years old, about 12-15lbs and is very sweet and loving. She would make a great companion dog. She currently lives with us, our children and our 3 dogs and 2 guinea pigs and we can't keep her. She has been with us about a month and we could really use everyone's help to rehome her.

The shelters are full, and the only one that would take her would be Animal Care Services, which is not a great choice.

So please, if you would like to help save Lyla or open your heart and home to this cute dog, please let me know, and if you can't please pass this to whomever you can. We can be reached by phone or email. Her picture is attached.

Thank you for your help,
Lucy
I don't want to post their contact info, so if you're interested please DM me!

She is a cutie! The only shelter that will take her is not a no-kill shelter.

You might give my friends a call at the South Texas Persian Rescue. While they themselves do not deal with dogs, they may have a contact in their network that can assist. Feel free to PM me for the number.

I got the same email. Wish I could take her, but we already have two...she's adorable, and I'm sure someone on this board can take her off the hands of this truly dog-loving couple!

I believe that a friend of theirs could no longer keep the dog (don't know why) and they took her in on a temporary basis...but they are having trouble finding her a good home.

Contact SNIPSA.... www.snipsa.com They will put her up for adoption. She looks like a sweet dog, coincidentally, she's got the same name as our dog, Lyla, which we adopted from SNIPSA.

I think the website should be http://www.snipsa.org

The other URL is not a real site.
