I'm moving to San Antonio and would like to know where the best jogging and biking trails are. I'm in the northwest area (medical center, 410/I-10/1604).

Love some hills and dirt/gravel rather than concrete.
Thanks!

There are tons of places, check out Park Inventory - San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department! Or, you can look at this map. With the expansion of the Leon Creek Greenway ongoing, even more trails are opening up in the near future!

OP Schnabel, Crownridge, Friedrich and Eisenhower are all favorites of ours and are not too far away from you, and Government Canyon State Natural Area is also less than a half-hour drive...

There's also a thread on mountain biking in SA if you're interested.

Just remember to be prepared for the heat (proper clothing, water, etc)!

Cheers! M2

I would like to know the same thing... Where are the dirt/gravel running trails here? (Not mtb trails, I already know where to go for that)

McAllister park is supposed to be a good place. One of these days I'll get off the treadmill and hit the trails.

Friedrich Park just north of La Cantera on I10 has natural trails.
Also, there is OP Schnabel at Bandera and Braun.

(That was too easy)
