If wanting to buy a home in this area, CORONA CA where are the nicer areas i would want to be in. I do understand that the traffic there is something else and so busy by the interchange. Which areas of this city would i want to look at. And which areas would i stay away from. Has home prices in this area declined and do you have the short sales and foreclosed properties that RIVERSIDE MORENO VALLY HAVE.

Hello California - Jewel

We have not moved into Corona yet, but We were looking out for almost six months and finally signed agreement with Shea homes. We will be moving in May/Jun 2010. The site is located at the intersection of scleisman and hellman ave.

There are lot of short sale and foreclosures in Corona area. We now live in Cerritos and it was painful for us to go every week and check out the listings and wait for the short sale to close. Also we are going with FHA loan and many listings did not prefer that. Hence we went with new construction and liked both Shea and lennar and finally decided to go with Shea.

Eastwale area bordering (Archibald, schleisman and hamner) has the best elementary school with highest API scores. We do not know any kids going to the school but that was our first preference. Unfortunately the new homes in that area were little pricy and we did not like the floor plans.

We were looking for zipcode 92880 as that's where the new and recent houses were built. We did not find any area in this zipcode bad. most of them have big streets and the community looked nice.

someone who has already moved into Corona or living in corona may give a greater insight.

Thanks

Schleisman/Hellman and Archibald area is not really Corona. It has the Corona address but will become a new city called "Eastvale" in October 2010. The elementary schools in Eastvale are pretty good, and the area is fairly new compared to proper Corona. You will find big houses, but also quite a few shortsales and foreclosures in this area. Eastvale is about 10 mins north of Corona. It borders Ontario to the north, Chino to the west, and Norco to the south.
