Classic case of "not in my backyard". Nobody wants anything that will lower nearby property values, but it's not like you can force poor people into "poor" areas. That doesn't work, and just seems to go against everything I think I learned growing up.

It is ultra low income Section 8 housing. Gangs, crime and everything else. A lot of people relocated this way because we were tired of our children being threatened, our homes being robbed and spray paint all over our neighborhoods. Damn right I don't want that again in my neighborhood.

Low income housing just attracts criminals and illegals. No one wants to live next to car parts, and mariachi music everyday.

Do you have any other ideas besides NIMBY for this issue? Or is it just pass this issue along to someone else? If you do I would love to hear them.
