Why not take a look at CD's Canyon Lake page?

//www.city-data.com/city/Canyon...alifornia.html
  • White alone - 9,438 (85.5%)
  • Hispanic - 895 (8.1%)
  • Two or more races - 241 (2.2%)
  • Black alone - 221 (2.0%)
  • Asian alone - 224 (2.0%)
  • American alone - 14 (0.1%)
  • Other race alone - 12 (0.1%)

Or the City of Canyon Lake's web page?

Or Wikipedia Canyon Lake?

In my opinion, if someone goes looking for racism, they're gonna find it just because they went looking.

First of all, i asked a simple question and expected a simple straightforward answer. No one suggested that the answer should come from you. The comment was not necessary. I am trying to get the feel for my soon to be surroundings. I have to take care of my family. But, the answer you gave shows ignorance and guilt.

Thank you for your time

I went to Canyon Lake once and the only people I saw were white, although I'm sure there are a few people there from every racial group. I wouldn't worry too much if I were you, though, typically people in the Inland Empire are pretty accepting and there is not much racism that is noticeable.

OP, in general, the entire IE doesn't give two hoots about race, as it's very diverse.

Come on out, you'll see what I mean.

Default That's the type of attitude I was expecting

Thank you Dallas and David. I am a Southern girl and we have charm and love people. I feel at ease and I appreciate it! Thank you for the attitude. There is a way you talk to people and you guys definitely know how to do that!

Thanks again!

Hi Everyone!
I just joined to also ask questions about Canyon Lake. Without even asking, I got a little taste from what I have just read. Thank G-d there are still some people in California with some class and compassion! If I would not have seen the reply from Dallas and David, I would have passed. I'm white, but it's VERY off putting to have to deal with ignorance!
Having said that, can anyone tell me the general attitude there? My husband and I are planning our retirement in a couple of years, and we are looking for a friendly, classy place to live. Coming from Santa monica, we dont want to be bored or swamped with too many people either.
Any suggestions is greatly appreciated!
Eva
