What is the la sierra hills area like? Looks nice online, bigger lots. Homes seem comparable to canyon crest but a bit cheaper. The location is very central to my husbands job, and we like the places we see there. Any thoughts?

Yeah, if you like it, go for it. Hopefully the area is zoned to the better high school (La Sierra, BOO Norte Vista ).

The area is much quieter/less traffic than Canyon Crest, and the shopping choices are less (but not nil). If it is closer to work, why not?

It's a nice area, you definitely have to drive to get anywhere, but there's a bunch of everyday shopping stuff at La Sierra and the 91 and then you've got the mall not far. I know a couple families that live up there. There's a new high school, Hillcrest, opening this fall that I imagine is where that area will go - it's right at the base of the hill on Indiana.

Hillcrest is/will be at Pierce/Indiana. La Sierra Hills is up by La Sierra and Arlington.
